31/1/12 The Editing Process
Over the last week or so I have been testing out different motions for the titles. This has been a great learning experience. For example today I have learned how to fade text in and out using opacity. Also I have been able to get the text move along the path. I think I need to use opacity more so that the text doesn't just appear. This will be my target once I have finished inserting all the text. Although I should be able to finish putting all the text by next lesson!

18/1/12 Editing Technqiues
In my film titles I have decided to use a cross dissolve which was inspired by the film Dead Man. The fade to black shows a change in and location. To show a change in time in my film titles I have also used a black out however it is dissolving into the next clip. It shows time passing and the deliberation between the protagonist and her situation.

17/1/12 Editing
The maximum length of the film titles opening is 2 minuets. After returning to school after day 1 of filming I was able to identify certain shots which needed to be re-shot and I was able to insert the needed shots later on. So overall I was able to film my film opening titles in 2 days.
As I edit the shots I, have decided to use one transition to dissolve the shots of the lead protagonist into one another to sow time passing. Also by slowing the speed of her walking I am indicating that there is something wrong. I have removed all diegetic sounds as I think that the effect of the voice overs would be removed in sympathetic effect. I am pleased with my film titles so far as it is clear where I will be inserting the titles.
Shot List:
1. Black Out - Dissolve Transition
2. Very Long Shot - Pan
3. Long Shot
4. Medium Long Shot
5. Medium Shot
6. Point Of View Shot
7. Medium Shot
8. Medium Close Up

3/1/11 Downloading Filming
Today I have downloaded the filming which I completed over the Christmas holidays on to Final Cut Express. From watching the filming I have decided to redo certain scenes within the film titles.
Also on the day of filming the location was the same: Friary Park however the bench in which the film was set on was different.
