Task 2: Create a production company name. Research production companies who have supported a film with a similar genre to your own.
1. HT Media: HT Media was founded in 1924 when its flagship newspaper, Hindustan Times was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. HT Media (BSE, NSE) has today grown to become one of India's largest media companies. HT Media is based in Newcastle.
2. Sherwood Films: Sherwood Films is a production company based in Scotland and was founded in February 2009. It was conceived from a mutual love of film. Already we are inundated with unbelievably exciting film projects and we love every moment of it!
Sherwood Films Ltd, a film production company. The Executive Director of the company is Matthew Brown, an award-winning film producer. Matt has produced 100s of film projects, including adverts, short films, music videos, BBC productions, government promotional films and documentaries. He won a Scottish BAFTA for technical excellence in 2007.
3. Working Title Films: Working Title Films is a British film production company, based in London, UK. The company was founded by Tim Bevan and Sarah Radclyffe in 1983. It produces feature films and several television productions, including films starring comic actor Rowan Atkinson. Eric Fellner and Bevan are now the co-owners of the company. Films produced with the Working Title Films support are: Paul, Wild Child, Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang, Definitely Maybe. Etc.
Task 3: Where can you find funding within the UK?
The research I have completed on production companies is based within the UK already however more well known production companies are: BFI (British Film Institute), BBC, National Lottery, Channel 4 Productions, Film4 Productions.
