2.11.12 - Recce Shots

In this music video I have a total of 7 different locations, each of the locations is significant through either the symbolism of certain colours or the verisimilitude of the overall music video. Here are the locations in order of appearance in the music video:

1. Pathway/ open green space:

On the right hand side of this image is the pathway which I want the titles to appear on, this path has a series of cracks running through it and this is important because it symbolises the cracks in the relationship between the couple as the cracks begin to appear and develop.

2. Open green space:

This is the setting for the first date which is the picnic date. The green is significant because of the colour as green symbolises jealousy (according to the Shakespearean play: Othello). The boyfriend is jealous of the freedom and isolation of this location, but green also symbolises growth and harmony, which represents the relationship.

3. Dinner date: Angelo's:

To show that time has past, in the first verse we cut to another date, which in this case is a dinner date. The restaurant is Italian which has the connotations of being romantic which is ironic considering the actions and attitude which the boyfriend shows

4. Waiting for the date: Street:

This is where the artist will wait for the date that will never come. It will be filmed to show time going by, once during the afternoon, the second time in the evening. We will use markers so that the shot frames are in exactly in the same place. This will also be one of the locations where the artist will lip sync to the music




5. Bedroom 1: Boyfriend ignoring calls:

 The blue is a stereotype based on all boys rooms.
In this scene the boyfriend will ignore the calls from Corrina as she waits in the cold and dark for a date he has either forgotten or has decided just not to turn up to.
















6. Alley way: Lip Syncing:

To emphasise the isolation that the artist is feeling this location will be filmed when it is darker, to symbolise her innocence in this situation but also to create sympathy for her from the audiences perspective.
















7. Bedroom 2: Introducing 2nd equilibrium:

This will be the location of where Corrina wakes up once the boyfriend walks out on her in sheer anger. There will be a close up of Corrina's face so that the audience will not be able to see what is behind her, however the audience will not be able to completely see what is being revealed until the over the shoulder shot from Corrina's perspective. There will only be the props of the photos and petals rather than the different colour pillows and patchwork quilt as I think it will distract from the aim of the music video. The only other prop which will be in this location is the box and the coat - which help to create enigmas.

I will have one more location however it still needs to be confirmed for the argument scene.
