6.11.12 - Reviewing the Filming Process

During the half term I had organised a total of 2 days filming - the 29th and 30th November, however due to the quantity of how much needed to be filmed we were unable to complete everything in those todays. Thankfully I was able to organise another evening of filming on Friday 2nd November, where we were able to film the bonfire scene as well as the lip syncing section of the song.

Since all the filming is done at this point, in class I am now beginning the editing process. I will be using the programme Final Cut Express. The editing will begin with rearranging everything in order on the timeline. From this filming shoot I have been able to collect around 30 minutes of material. When I have been able to sort out all of the clips I will decide whether another filming shoot needs to be arranged during the christmas holidays.

During the filming shoot I did not face many difficulties, there were 2 main problems. The first problem was that the surfaces which I was filming on were unstable for the dolly, so in the shot list which I had organised some of the areas which I had specified using a dolly had to be altered; although I was still able to use the dolly during the second verse - where the boyfriend misses a date and leaves the artist (Corrina Suri) waiting in the cold. Another problem was the weather because of the clocks changing it got a lot faster than I had assumed which was the reasoning behind having an extra day filming.
